For A Reason

You ignore the meteor and stick to your original plan, to wait. Another few hours pass of pure darkness, this planet seems to have a very long day and night cycle. all hope seems lost, maybe you should have not waited for this long, maybe you should have walked somewhere, atleast you would be doing something instead of wasting your time. you start to panic as you realize you have an oxygen meter on the side of your left arm, and it has 1/3 of oxygen full. You cannot wait much longer but you already made the choice. The darkness seems to devour all light around you, except for some small little buttons on your suit. But the darkness was broken by a shine of bright lights, all around you. the once dark land explodes in bright blue lights as the grass shows its colors. You begin to gain hope again, but you are no longer alone on this planet. Larger strands of grass, about 7 feet tall, begin to break through some of the rocks on the ground. They sprout high above your head and begin to move, as if they were alive. They all point towards the opposite side of the meteor crash site. with no other choice, you begin to follow the path laid out by the grass beings. more time passes, and as the light begins to fade from the glowing grass, the sun marks the end of the night, as it rises above the alien plains. It is day 2, you have made it, but your oxygen is running low. The grass beings burrow into the rocks once more and you are left alone. you continue walking, maybe there is nothing, maybe this a waste of time, and a new problem appears. hunger. it strikes fast and without warning. you are starving. you have 2 choices
