The aircraft carrier
Deciding to ditch the robot, you climb out. You realize you couldn’t have gotten far inside the carrier with it anyways. You jam the button marked ‘Flucht’ and the levers you are holding retract, and you feel your legs being pushed upwards, out of their control slots. Hydraulics lift the glass shell off your chest and head, as another hydraulic arm folds over your chest and metal slots pop out for you to grab. Heat-wicking vents lining the cockpit hiss, obviously designed for more strenuous exits where pilots are fighting under heat of battle. Ah, German engineering.
As you climb out you notice the manufacturer sticker and destination stamp on the side. This must have a been a prototype to be shipped to a factory for further maintenance, but you aren’t sure. Either way, you feel proud to have been able to pilot such an amazing piece of work, whether you stole it or not.
