A Thing

You respond with an affirmed no, but the shark doesn't seem to accept the answer.
"Alright, now I'm sure this all seems very real to you right now but I assure you it's all a trick of the mind. Nothing more." The shark attempts to calm you down, but you're not really listening to reason anymore.
"No, I'm sure. I'm sure it's all real, I mean how could I be talking to you right now otherwise? Sharks can't talk! See! How do I even know that?"
"Oh. I'm a shark, am I?"
