Max ducks under a bell. The Ghost finds Max easily, but when they go under the bell, Max whacks them with his baseball bat. The Ghost is slammed into another bell and crumples to the ground.
Max doesn't hesitate. He sprints to the silver bell without looking back. As he nears it, he hears the clinking of chains in the distance. The Ghost must have recovered from its earlier beating.
Just as Max reaches the silver bell, he feels a skeletal hand wrap around his wrist.
