Ed throws the shield with the flat side facing the fairy, who can't avoid it and slams into it. The shield shatters as she's thrown off course and crashes into the snow on the ground. She's a few feet from Ed in her human form, but she's completely dazed and won't be able to fight for a few moments. Ed needs to end this.
