The end.
So... this is what it's like to die. Everything is going dark and light at the same time. It’s like a TV losing signal; I’m losing my connection to my body. My ears are filled with an ear-splitting shriek, like the hum you hear in an empty room, amplified until it’s all I can feel. My mouth is filled by a metallic taste, like blood. And I’m falling...
thud
I find myself on the cold cobblestones of the back alley. The shock is still there, but it’s fading fast. I pick myself up, and look around. It’s the same back alley as always, but something feels... different about it. It’s definitely just me. Everything looks grey. The colours are still there, but they’re not the same.
You know, this really isn’t what I expected. I’m still... here. I haven’t gone anywhere. Sure, I fell through a solid wall, but I’m still here, right behind my home.
