Speciation

Mating with a male species with different traits has, due to polyploidy, resulted in a hybrid offspring; a new elongated limnetic species (Amphilophus zaliosus). This species continues to reproduce with fish of similar traits, reproductively isolating themselves from the ancestry population due to sexual selection and sympatric speciation!
