Survivor's Homestead

The first thing you notice about the house is that it's been abandoned, though not in any of the usual ways. There aren't any infected inside, but all of the plates are still stacked nicely in the cupboards, and the blankets on the beds have been pulled back as though currently in use, and there's even a very, very old plate of cookies on the counter, still wrapped in plastic wrap.

No one died here, which is such a strange thing, in this new world. If you didn't know any better, or couldn't see the heavy grey layer of dust every everything, you might suspect that someone still lived here.

But now. It's been eight months, now, since the start of it - it being the apocolypse, of course.

No one's lived here for eight months.

And now, this three-story farmhouse is....It's yours. To stay in. No more running.

All you've got to do is make sure it's safe inside. That the walls aren't going to collapse, and that an infected won't come up on you in your sleep. You're up to the third floor, now, rooting around a bedroom. Seems like some of these clothes might fit you, moth holes and all.
