> SIDNEY
“Listen, I’ll give you one shot to do this right.” Before you could react, Sidney pushed you against a wooden support beam and strapped you there with her belt. She then left. You have no clue what you’re supposed to do. It doesn’t look like she’s coming back anytime soon. Is this their only vacant room?
Vain and the others all stare at you from their tables.
Bella throws her head back and opens her mouth wider than you could, and begins resonating a low frequency, the kind which you could feel more so than hear. Glasses shake on the tables. One falls, but does not do so much as crack against the pinewood floor. Vain doesn’t react at all to the resonating sound, but she knows that it is there, as the maid’s ghost told you so. It was on the winery a few summers ago. Vain can hear the noise, she said. You will hear the noise too, when it is time.
You do not like the noise, but you are powerless. You are foolish for thinking you are in control of your own fate. You feel like scum, taking in all the worthlessness of this vessel you were given. You are the dirt that those above you walk on. Compared to them, you are nothing. When you die, your death will be meaningless. You are a pawn, meant to be disposed of, and nothing else. Your life will never have any impact on the outcome of this game the universe plays. Do you cry, Drug? Do you cry at your own self worth, or lack thereof?
Nay, it is not even a game. Not to you, at least. Games can be won or lost. You just kneel and obey.
The noise stopped, and Sidney returned from the other area she was in. “I microwaved you a glass of water, you insignificant sack of carbon.”
You take the glass of water.

*INVENTORY:
Warm glass of pond water (1)

While waiting for someone to come undo your restraints, your mind wanders back to the pinewood floor. You don’t recall ever seeing a pine tree in your life. Oh, the woe that comes when realizing you’ve only seen the corpses. It hits close to home.
No one has removed the belt yet. No one looks like they’re about to, either. You’re on your own here, it’s obvious, and the three ladies want you to know that truth.
In fact, you haven’t seen a single man in your time here. Only women. It frustrates you to the bone, as you hate women, just like the rest of your folk used to. You were never one to disown tradition, and you weren’t gonna change now just because everyone in this damn town has titties. Your tensed arms push against the belt. You’re gonna fucking escape, right now. You’re sick and tired of this bullshit.
