Road To A Road Z Y X

You at least have a vague idea of what's going on. Someone must have whiped your memory. The one advantage you have is knowing that you're not alone. Whatever they did to you, they did to a whole group of people. Perhaps the others have a better idea of what's going on. This town could be pretty big, but your captors made lt sound like there are quite a few others, so lt shouldn't be too' hard to find one of them.

You open the door, just like that. You never did hear a lock click, but you're still surprised that they would make lt so easy to leave the room. Perhaps there are guards outside. You go down the hallway & out the door, not wasting any time. Nope, no guards at all. No... people at all. Well, that's certainly odd. You're in front of the sherriff's office now, which is on an avenue built on a hill. Across the street are some 17'th Century houses, but there don't appear to be any people inside. You take a quick look around anyway, but you're pretty sure they're empty. That only leaves two directions to go: up the hill & down the hill. The hill appears to go up a long way, but you can't tell beyond the curve lt makes by the large hospital. There could be people in the hospital. Down the hill also appears to go a long way & you can't see the end. You can't see anything of interest from here, but there probably is. You now notice that there isn't even a single parked car anywhere. Well then, should you go up or down this hill?

You have 2 choices:
