Road To A Road Z Y X

You awaken in a pitch black, dark room. There is only a sliver of light coming in from the opposite side of what must be a large room, judging by the distance. You wonder how you got here & as you search for conclusions, you realize that your brain seems to be empty of all memory. Your knowledge of the language & right from wrong are there, but you have no idea of who you are or who you know. You quickly get up & in doing so, you realize that you were sleeping on bare floor, as though you passed out. This is certainly a strange situation. You might even call lt the strangest, lf you could remember any others to compare lt to. So, what will lt be? Are you going to leave to figure this out; or are you going to search the premises of this place for any helpful clues?
