Los Chimpos Ride Again
You open the box and gasp.
It's a gun!
Several bullets are rattling around loose in the box and you see two full magazines are in there too.
Having studied weaponry and ballistics, you recognise this weapon immediately.
It's a Springfield M1911-A1.
A classic handgun, used in all the major wars of the 20th century, that seems to have been slightly modified.
It is gold titanium nitride-plated and has a gold inlaid grip which is rather elegant but veers on the side of tacky.
You put the gun neatly back in the case, close it, and stash it in your bag which is on the back of one of the chairs.
