The aircraft carrier

As soon as you slam your hand down on the SHIELD button in the cockpit, a metal screen about 10 inches thick folds out of your robot’s right forearm, clunking along as it expands. Once the shield is fully deployed in a rectangular shape, you raise the shield to block the upper half of your body. The sunlight bounces off the shield in a gleaming line of shining metal. As the soldiers turret on the deck spools up, bullets begin to fly. The projectiles litter the shield with dents, but none penetrate. After around ten seconds, you estimate, you start to see a small problem, the robots shield elbow begins to show slight hydraulic damage due to the load of the shield and absorbed rounds.
