High school stories
"I'm sorry, Ethan, Emma," you say quickly. "I was startled when I saw the both of you kiss on the first night at school. I care about you, Emma, and I couldn't believe what I saw. I thought you were being really irresponsible and immature, and I meant to confront you guys tomorrow, asking you about what this is."
Ethan looks at Emma guiltily and then turns to you. "No, I'm sorry, man," he says quietly. "I had no idea you cared about her that much. But Emma and I love each other, and couldn't help ourselves, when we met in the dark corridor. I'm sorry to have woken you up." Emma nods.
"It's cool, Ethan," you say. "All I needed to hear. I wish y'all best of luck!" And you give them a smile which they may or may not have seen in the darkness and head to your room.
