Errant
He really wasn't that poor of a kisser. He certainly seemed willing. Perhaps there are other thing the two of you could try. You wait for him to get to you, uncertain if he'll simply pull you back down again, but the potential excites you and overshadows any caution you might otherwise exercise.
Surprisingly though, his head bobs up beside you. His long black hair lays flat and damp over his blue gray skin. He looks at you quizically and takes your hand in his own. He tries to tug you underwater but less like a vicious sea creature and more like a friend eager to show you something. You try to tell him you can't breathe down there but he doesn't understand. Realization only dawns on him as you gesture out what you mean. He nodds and releases your hand before diving back down alone.
You think you may have lost your chance with this gorgeous guy, but before you have a chance to swim back to shore he resurfaces with a handful of purple seaweed. He takes a bite to show you it's safe before offering it to you.
