The Secret Triwizard Challenge
Those giant paw prints look daunting, but it's the only path you haven't been down yet. It must lead to the center of the maze.
You follow the prints for a good while, walking deeper into the maze. You round a bend, and in front of you, you find a sphinx resting on the ground. She has the head of a women, with dark hair and almond-shaped eyes, and her body is that of a golden lion. You look at her giant paws, the source of the paw prints, and shudder at the long claws on them. She smiles at you, showing her razor-sharp teeth. Clearly, this is a beast meant to kill, should you cross it.
The sphinx sits up and speaks.
"I see you've made it very far," she says. "But to pass by me, you must sip, not from a glass, not from a jar, but from just one goblet where potions drip."
She lifts her paw, and four short pillars rise in front of her. On each pillar is a simple bronze goblet, but inside each goblet is a very different potion. The sphinx continues speaking.
"Two will help you win your race, only one you need to pick. Two are poison, like stars in space, drink one and die, through thin and thick."
It looks like you'll need to drink from one of the potions to advance. Two will get you past the sphinx, and two will harm you. But you probably won't die, right? Hehe. Heh.
