The Secret Triwizard Challenge
You take the apple to the talking mushrooms. You decide to plant the seeds by them. You cut open the apple with a carefully placed Diffindo charm.
"EY! Whatchu think you're doing, bub?" one mushroom says. The others turn to look at you (you think they do, at least. They don't have faces.) and start yelling. Obviously, you were not meant to do that to the apple. You go to the orchard to pick another.
As soon as the apple snaps from the branch, the ground beneath you rumbles. Roots from the trees burst from the ground, wrap around you, and force you to the ground. You must have taken more than you need. You should have obeyed the sign!
Your wand slips out of your hand. You are truly and thoroughly stuck.
------
You can find no way out. The next morning, the professors check on their challenges within the maze and find you, tired and dehydrated, in the clutches of the tree. They get you out, but are furious that you went into the maze. Frankly, you'll probably be expelled. But that's nothing in comparison to the fact that you lost the race. YOU LOSE!
