Strangely Forgotten
"It's strange, isn't it?" She comments.
"What?" You ask.
"This whole situation. I couldn't imagine going into the world right now with no memories. With the EMP gone off, communication with anyone is nearly impossible. It's nice, I guess, knowing there's another kid in this world other than me. Anyways, we're lucky. Apparently, a few hospitals have found a new power source, not knocked out by the EMPs. It's how you're still alive. If they didn't have power, who knows where'd you be right now."
You can tell she's trying to give you information without seeming suspicious. You think about how strange it is, that the hospitals have power. Is that even possible? You push aside your doubts and shrug, "It really is a miracle then."
Your seemingly blind trust causes the girls smile to waver for a second, but she straightens up, "Well, hopefully I'll see you later, then. I think you still have another visitor." She walks out of the room.
