In Love With an Aven

“Not much. I had just put my children to bed and then I started to feel sick. My wife was already in bed so no one noticed me fall to the floor.”
“Wife?” You interrupt disappointedly.
“We were married 17 moons ago. We had a nest of four who hatched only 14 days before now. Unless I was away from my family for many days.”
“Family?” You whisper to yourself, disappointed. This beautiful young aven would never consider dating you if he had a family to return to. “What happened after that?”
“Well she’s already expecting a new brood.” He smiles, running a hand through his hair happily.
I bit my lip disappointedly. “I meant after you blacked out.”
“Oh.” He nods. “Well I felt things hiring me and when I opened my eyes I was falling towards the forest floor. And then I sensed another being and I flew to see who it was. Then I saw this beautiful young girl - that’s you. And here I am.
You smile at his comment about you.
“I’m not sure I can get you home. But I’ll try to help.” You tell him.
