"Run that by me one more time?" Navaien asks as we're walking inside the ship, following Rose and Rogan who were frankly very disappointed at not finding anything.
"Onré and Davshe were sisters. Onré did deflect to the Rebellion and Davshe did stay with the First Order, but what you didn't know is that.." I look away from the hissing of the ship's door and towards Rose, who put in the codes by mashing the buttons. 'All this pfaasking trouble for nothingĖ, I read inside her mind, before looking away.
"Davshe had something with my father. It was an accident and then," I gestured to myself vaguely, making him nod. "I suppose she didn't want my father to know, so she hid me away. That is, until someone collected data on her, knew she was a potential spy for the Resistance and planned to sell out her data to others, including our position and my existence. If you can't hit a General, take it's kid, as the proverb says."
"Literally no one says that, Vestar." He interrupts, but I rolled my eyes and I contined.
"Nevermind. Raller was not the one responsible for the murders, or the fire. He helped many of them escape the fires, that's why he was above the buildings with his ship at the time of the fire. He pulled me out of the fire, although when he reached my mother, there was no hope." I look away, sighing. "She was already dead."
"And how does this link to you being Force sensitive?" He scoots closer to me as the ship takes off, making me touch at the saber currently strapped to my belt. I smiled.
"Sabine and Obi-Wan Kenobi are my mother's and aunt's grandparents, my great-grandparents. Sabine was a Mandalorian, Obi-Wan was a Jedi. Neither of the girls were trained as Jedis or fully belonged to the Mandalorian tribes, so they never excelled into anything. They were regular girls and soon, one of them an Officer for the First Order and the other one a Resistance fighter. Although," I whisper, taking his hand. I set it on the cold exterior of the lightsaber, and I watch him get confused.
"My mother used to train to be a Jedi Knight. Some of her missions as a bountyhunter made her use her powers and her saber, which was passed down from Kenobi himself. It if wasn't for Raller and Onré, I," I shrugged a little, pulling my legs closer to my chest.
"I wouldn't be here right now."
Navaien nods, looking like he had understood everything. Although, knowing him, he probably didn't.
My attention is quickly turned when I hear a loud noise from the front of the ship and I stand up, staring at Rose who turned a sharp turn back towards Canto. "What're you doing?!" I yelled, taking a hold of her hand over the wheel. She pushed me away, almost knocking me into Rellia, spinning the wheel fast.
"I picked up a sign of Resistance scum on the way back. We need to go back." She spits out, as I see a vein bulge at her neck. Navaien looks to me and back to Rose, before grabbing the wheel and slamming the heel of his boot against the screen. The screen malfunctions before it starts sparking, and I close my eyes.
A loud thud hits my ears and I feel gravity give up on me as we nosedive straight towards an icy planet. Rogan stares at the man she practically catapulted into the wall and I look in horror at the badge that fell out of his inner pocket, the ID he carries around from the Resistance side. Before he could crawl up to it, still spitting blood from the impact, Rose stomps onto the card together with his fingers.
He yells out in pain as she pulls her heel away together with the card, pulling it up to her face and staring at the identification number. I bite the inside of my lip, trying to ignore the fact that we were, AGAIN, crashing forward into another planet. Rogan was at the pilot seat, pulling up the wheel, straightening up the situation. We were losing fuel.
"I thought she killed you." Rose turned to me, eyes bloodshot in anger, touching at the screen of the hologram when she identified his number again. She expands the blue screen, staring at the Resistance symbol. I bite the inside of my lip. "You lied to me."
"You betrayed all of us! You let us go on that wild bantha chase through Bight knowing that he is going to alert the Resistance that we're there!" She screams, making me cover back into the shadows. There was nowhere I could run from Rose's eyes. "You're a spy!"
Navaien had crawled up into the corner by the time I pulled the card away from Rose's hands with the Force. Rose was ready to say something when the ship started crash landing, with Rogan trying her best to land us safely. Thankfully, we found ourselves into heaps of snow and the ship landed without a scratch, but that didn't cover the shaking of the transport or the sudden shutdown of the system.
When the door opened, Rose pushed Navaien outside. His form dragged out onto the snow as she grabbed him by the throat and pinned him down so he doesn't move, her mouth foaming at the corner. I stare from the ship, horrified, ready to run out, but feel Rogan grab at my coat and pull me back. "You have something I want." She says, starting up the lightsaber in her hands and pressing the end of it against my coat end. I feel it burning and I hiss, grabbing a fist full of black hair and pushing her away, staggering into the snow.
"Let him go!" I scream, tackling Rose from the boy and letting him, pressing a knee into Rose's abdomen and pushing her off me when she pinned me back down. I stood up and leaned into the dead tree, noticing the dead and wasteful expanse of just ice and snow for miles and miles to come. I pulled out my blaster ss quickly as I could, aiming it at Rose, who lay in the snow and almost disappeared in it, if it weren't for the maroon eyes peering at me.
"What do you want from me?" I ask, staring at a slowly approaching Rellia, saber in her hand. The black contrasts the snow for as much as I contrasted her, making me gulp as I felt the intimidation run over my skin. Her eyes burned with something I couldn't place, making my hand waver. I could feel her pull on my blaster with her Force but I pulled harder, gritting my teeth. "Let go!" I shot to somewhere, watching the shot get aimed at the ship and spark into the metal.
Rose managed to stand up, drawing a blaster herself, aiming it directly at me. Her hair had fallen from it's always neat state, her clothes were wet and bloodied and I felt like I was staring at a completely different woman. Ruthless, stoic, unbreakable. Phasma.
"Traitor!" Rellia screamed back at me, running forwards as she knew Rose had her back. I shot multiple times, but to no avail, as I got burnt by the lightsaber in my attempt to run away. I fell to my knees and the blaster went a few feet away from me, hissing at the pain in the lower part of my leg. I saw Rellia's saber sink into the snow beside my head, as I turned and quickly pushed myself off the ground, holding the saber underneath my coat.
"You tricked us! Tricked me! You lied to me and kept that little brat with you for months on the ship!" Rose yelled, grasping my blaster in her other hand tightly. "I trusted you!" She yelled, her voice echoing into the unknown. I stared at Rogan, whose red lightsaber lit up her hazel eyes. I glared back, trying to seem intimidating and bigger than before, but my wound deceived me, making me hiss at any attempt to straighten up fully.
"And when were you planning to tell me Raller was your father? Did you know about my mother, my aunt, anyone?" My eyes filled with tears again, looking from one of them and back to the other. Rose's face visibly scrunched up but Rogan kept her same expression, making me feel even angrier than before. I pulled out my lightsaber, lighting it up as the blue light covered me. She's with me. She'll help me.
"What you're doing is wrong, I can sense it. We're not meant to be on this side of the war!" I said, which solicited an attack by Rogan, making.me cover underneath the heavy lightsaber and push hers off as well as I could. My eyes darted back to Rose who kept Rogan's back, whose expression hadn't changed.
"Your mother was a coward. Your father is a scoundrel, and you're nothing less." Rogan hissed out and I charged at her, sinking my lightsaber into what I thought was Rogan's front, but it appaled me to see that it was actually Rose's shoulder. She stared straight at me and dropped her blasters, watching Rogan who had pulled herself away from the impact. Rellia's face paled like a corpse as she pushed me away into the ice, touching Rose's collapsing body and pressing a hand onto her wound. It started healing gently, and Rogan looked up at the with the intensity of a billion stars, Rose grasping at her elbows and hissing as her wound tried to heal itself back with the power of the Force.
Looking down, I noticed the cracks in the ice. Below me was undoubtedly a lake. That glance cost me almost my life, as Rogan ran towards me and swiped with her sai, making me duck instinctively and mimick her action with my lightsaber. I didn't manage to put a scratch on her as she jumped over me, holding her saber up defensively. "You're as much as a liar as Ren is." I muttered, walking towards her, horrified at the cracking underneath my heels but determined to end it here. "You fight for the cause that murdered my mother, for the things that burnt her body alive."
Rellia stared at me, clenching her saber tighter. "Your mother chose to be on the other side, no one forced her. She chose the hard way, she was a threat. Threats need to be removed." I glared, jumping up and pushing my lightsaber down only to be blocked, before I pushed Rellia by her shoulders with my feet and pushed her forward onto the ice. She grunted hard, but rolled over, avoiding my strikes with the saber.
"Can't you see you're being deceived!?" I asked, blocking the hit against my face as I stared one-to-one with the Sith. "You're on the wrong side, Rogan. You're not who you are told that you are." Another strike and I almost would've lost my head, watching Rogan fume with anger. We were walking backwards, dangerously approach a cliff where the lake dripped out of.
"I am Rogan Rellia from Arkanis, I am a Sith and a student in the Dark Ways of the Force, my master is Kylo Ren!" I felt a long lunge at my side and I slid to the side, pushing Rogan away with the Force. She hissed, raising her hand as she tried to pull the saber from my hand too. "Your father is Kylo Ren!"
My hands waver as the amount of power overrides mine, pushing me back towards the edge of the cliff. I grab onto what I can and I avoid slipping down into what seems like an abyss, making my heart jump almost through my throat. Rellia walks towards me and pulls me up through the Force, the grip on my throat tightening as I scramble to grip at an invisible hand.
"Take it back. Take. It. Back." I hear her whisper, eyes turning dark. She took a few steps and dangled me off the side of the canyon, making me grip at her wrist.
