"If you reach an unidentified point in the map, this light will shine and you will need to double-check your coordinates. We've input the coordinates for Canto Bight manually, yet the routes are automated so you don't-"
"You think I'm incapable of flying a ship?"
"No, Colonel, it's just that-"
Rose glared down the dark boy and he nodded his head gently, looking down at his shoes which were without doubt, polished at least 20 times before he left his rooms to come to duty. Rose wafted her cigarette between her pointer and middle finger, the smell of something fruity arising and curling around my nose uncomfortably. I was adjusting the button of my sleeves as Rose spoke to the technician, trying to fit the small button stubbornly through the tight knit hole.
"You think what? It would be a good thing if you thought more often." Rose said, pressing her cigarette to her lips and taking in a deep inhale. The boy fiddled with the reports in hand and as much as I could notice, they were all hand calculated. I finally pressed the button through the sleeve and sighed, setting my hand on Rose's shoulder.
"I'm sure he just wanted us to avoid the business of the Outer Rim. Cantonica is surrounded by planets, we don't need to crash into anything, do we?" I stared over Rose's shoulder at the panicked boy who nodded, giving the slips of red paper to Rose shakily. Frost grabbed them from him and muttered something over the cigarette hanging from her lips. "Well? Don't you have other work to do?"
The boy nodded, relieved to leave, as the shuffling of freshly printed papers covered up the sounds of his boots hurriedly hitting the floor. I looked over Frost's shoulder and into the papers..all gibberish I couldn't understand. Sometimes I wish I knew something more about ships other than the fact that they fly. Deeming myself useless, I looked around us and noticed both the empty and taken over TIE Fighters, not reading the register number on any of them that matched the one on the paper.
"Which one are we boarding?" I asked, watching Rose discard of her cigarette in a nearby droid that carried ashtray-features, inhaling the rest of her flavored smoke through her sharp nose. She didn't look at me as she spoke, furrowing her pale brows as she checked the front engine's statistics on the documents.
"We aren't taking a TIE Fighter, because Cantonica is a lawless land and we don't need to scare the credit banthas away from our most prevalent cash grab.." She mutters, nodding her head towards a rickety looking transport ship of a weird shape I hadn't noticed before. Underneath it's shell, I noticed Navaien, getting short-circuited by two split wires. "Taking a medical supply ship covers our affiliation with the First Order, and we have a reason to unload on Canto Bight in the first place."
