Time traveling through nuclear history

As you scan the area, you notice that there is another entrance to the mines. As you try to sneak around and get in, the guard that you didn't know was guarding the area notices you acting suspiciously. They are tired of your antics and think that you are a thief trying to sneak in and steal the king's jewels. You are arrested and go on trial. They ask you why you did what you did.
