The Sanguine and Blackbeard's Cutlass
With their sails compromised, the ship has no escape.
“The new cannons seem to do their job,” you say to Victoria. “How about we put the new ram to the test?”
“Aye, Captain.” Directing towards the crew she yells, “Brace for impact! We’re going to split the Spanish dogs in half!”
You spin the wheel to the right. The Sanguine responds accordingly directing its path perpendicular to El Explorador. A gust of wind catches the sails propelling the schooner to frightening speeds. You see the Spanish crew horrified at the approaching missile that is The Sanguine. Most begin to jump ship.
Victoria was almost right. The bow of The Sanguine tears into El Explorador with a sickening crunch. The port side is ripped apart and looks as if cracks from an earthquake. The Sanguine’s momentum stops just short of reaching the starboard side of El Explorador. The impact renders most of the Spanish soldiers unless as they’re either thrown from the ship or crushed by debris. Several fires start along the deck and the sailors frantically rush to put them out.
Energized by the destruction, your crew jumps to El Explorador cutting down the remaining members and salvaging any valuables before the Caribbean claims it. You understand the danger of staying attached to a burning boat and order the crew to work on dislodging The Sanguine.
You gather all the treasure you can and continue your journey leaving behind a burning shell of a ship.
