:Submission Fantasy:
You're travelling across the country to visit a friend. The route takes you into a rural area with no mobile reception. It's been a long day and the daylight has faded. The weather has turned bad. Driving rain hammers the windscreen but you carry on along the country roads. To either side of you the road gives way to stony fields. The car lurches as a rock catches under the car. You hear a sharp metallic noise from the engine and immediately start losing speed. Something is wrong. This is bad. You see lights half a mile up the road as the fields give way to small village. The car limps to a halt as you steer it out of the way, to the side of the road. There's nothing for it but to head to the houses, where hopefully you can use a phone and shelter from the rain whilst mechanical help arrives.
You're not prepared for this. You stumble up the road but it's dark and you have neither a torch nor a coat. several times you put a foot wrong and end up shin deep in mud.
You're wet and cold and in a bit of a state by the time you reach the houses.
There are three of them.
It's tricky to see but you get the general impression the first one is neat and well kept. There's a painted white picket fence around the garden.
The second seems to have quite a lot of junk outside it - car and bicycle parts, washing machines, pieces of wood and so on.
The third looks like a family lives there - you can make out the outline of a slide and set of swings in the garden.
All look like there are people home. Which do you go to?
