I pushed the hair from the passenger's face away to get a better look, furrowing my brows. I couldn't really determine what they were. Hair was growing by the side's of the person's face even if it wasn't nearly as thick to be a beard or the sorts, but it was soft and dark. I placed a finger under the person's left eye and pulled gently down, revealing the unconscious gleam in the iris. They had hazel eyes. I looked back at Rose which had just finished setting the receiver's settings to normal, fondling with the machinery. "What even are they?" I asked, making her turn around and face me. She shrugged the slightest bit showing disinterest, smoothing her hair back. "It seems like a guy, treat it like it."
I looked back at Rose's "guy", screwing my face into a confused expression. He didn't look truly like a guy, but I wasn't one to judge. Maybe he was a different humanoid race which considered nonbinarity the peak attraction. I couldn't place my bets on whether I found him attractive or not and that was a first. He was of a large build, probably larger than me by a lot. He also wore grey like clothes, if you could call these rags clothes. The bird was pecking on his shoulder, but it didn't seem to wake him up. I stood up, feeling the blood cut off in my calves. I went back next to Rose, stuffing my hands in my pockets.
I steadied myself on the seat next to me as the ship went off ground, listening to the whirring gears of the systems inside. I looked up to Rose, which was staring stead on through the window, watching us leave the surface.
