Tunnels

You decide to go to the left, hoping it might be a way out of the sewer. As you walk to the left the water get's deeper. You walk some more until the water reaches your knee's. You stop to look at something it looks like blood, but you think it's red paint, you hope it's red paint. You walk further the water is now up to your shoulders. You see a way out of the water. But it's far, do you want to keep walking in the water or go back and go to the right this time?
