Life's Choices

You go to the mountains to live out your life. It is peaceful, and you are glad you've made this decision.

You are working on building another room to your cabin when someone breaks through one of the walls you had just propped up.

Startled, you back away and see who it is.

The person is you - slightly younger, but still you.

"Is this a good life?" the other you asks.

You nod.

"Are you sure?" he asks.

You nod again, but then you start to feel foggy. The affects of the water contamination must be setting in.

You have a conversation with your other self as you reflect in how your life has been.

"Maybe another path is better," you admit as the two of you wonder what could've been different.
