Your New Best Friend
"No thanks I have heaps of homework," you say to Claire. She replies with a shrug like she didn't care and you both go home.
The next day, Claire is not at school, and you see a big group of kids crowded together talking. You walk closer and try to listen.
"Hey did you hear what happened on the morning news?" One of them says.
"Yeah isn't that insane?" Another adds
"So what happened?" You ask the group as you walk up.
"Someone called the police for help last night, the police went to Claire's house, and found all these people locked in the basement!"
Stunned by this news, you walk away and try to figure what happened, but you have no idea.
