The Weekend of a Competitive Dancer

Who cares what you look like on stage, plus, isn't the judging and critiquing supposed to be about your actual dancing.

You are about to go on stage for your first solo, which happens to be jazz. You are more nervous than ever with all of the stress about the costume. With nerves like these, there is a good chance that you could either rise to the occasion or you could plummet down. The announcer exclaims "Welcome to the stage, number three hundred fifty-two, Work It!" The crowd screams in joy.

Once you are on stage, your heart beats a thousand times a minutes. You are shaking with both excitement and nervousness. Your music starts and now it is time for you to show what you have got on that stage with your sassiness.

The beginning of your dance looks great and you feel extremely confident. Once you get to the middle of your dance, with a very hard turning sequence, you start to feel the uneasiness again. After you land the turns, you mind goes blank. You don't know if you should just do improv for the rest of the dance, or if you should just run off of the stage.
