The Weekend of a Competitive Dancer

You keep dancing because that is what you love even though you are injured.

After rehearsal that night, you just put a heat pack on it and hope for the best. You know that solo night is tomorrow, so you don’t do any physical activity, not even walking. You just lay in your bed, almost to tears with the pain. Then you fall asleep when you are laying down, and have a dream. The dream is about your back. There are two “people” in your dream, your thoughts/brain and and a doctor. The doctor tells you not to dance because you could eventually tear or break something in your back, but you brain tells you to keep dancing because the doctor can’t see inside your back.
