Soulbound~Chapter Five
I walk out into the courtyard and take a seat at a table with Aria. She smiles at me the goes on to tell me a bunch of gossip she’s heard today. She pauses and finally says,
“So Lace, are you a Kade actually dating?”
“ Sure, why?”
“It’s just I’ve heard a few people think you two are.” She says, I’ve been her best friend since kindergarten and I can tell when she is lying.
“Are you sure that’s it?” She looks at me with tears in her big blue eyes, which I’ve always envied.
“Whoa, Aria are you ok you look like you’re about to cry.” Her eyes widen and she turns her head. She says,
“I’m fine Lacey.” In a flash of blonde she turned back around. She forces a big tv smile.
“See?” She says
“Aria just know I’m here for you if anything is wrong. You’ve always had my back and I’ll always have yours.” That last sentence must have gotten to her because after I said it she broke down crying.
“Aria, what’s wrong?”
“Ok so,” she sniffles “I may have told a bunch of people about you and Kade and,”
“And what?”
“And some girls who like him were really mad. Like really, really mad.” She looks up at me with tears streaming down her cheeks.
“Ok, so why is this something to cry over?” I ask her
“I just thought you were going to be mad.”
“Aw Aria I wouldn’t be mad over something like that.” I reassure her
She smiles and drys her face. Then the bell rings
