Soulbound~Chapter Four
I put it on and put on a pair of shorts we get in the car and drive to Kade’s house. We walk inside of his backyard and see a huge pool area. Just then Aria asks,
“Is that a tattoo?”
“Oh no it has to do with the thing I told you about.” I tell her
“Ooooh well it’s still cool” she smiles. She puts her stuff down and goes to the pool
“You coming in?” She asks
“Yeah I’m just gonna look for Kade real quick.”
She smiles and says
“Ok but remember our deal.”
“Yeah, yeah I’ll tell you if I find them.” I tell her
I go around looking for Kade and surprise I find him, his back I turned I tap him on the shoulder. He turns around and smiles. He says something but I don’t hear it all I see is the small, black crescent moon on his chest he looks down at me and I see it turn gold without thinking I jump in to the pool. I meet his eyes as I’m coming up for air he smiles just as he does I swim over to Aria she looks at me and says,
“Your not tattoo is gold now”
I sigh and I hear a splash I turn to see Kade has been pushed in I see someone looking at him laughing. Kade laughs too the guy jumps in a says something to Kade. Kade says something to but I can’t make out what he says. I looks over at me and Aria his eyes widen. He must have seen it too. Aria and that guy are connected via a red string. I turn to Aria and tell her,
“You see that guy?”
“Yeah? What about him?” She asked
“He’s the one” I tell her
She looks at me I nod. She smiles and sighs
“Well I guess in luck he isn’t ugly” she jokes
I laugh
“Oh and hey, I noticed that you have a matching non-tattoo with Kade.” She points out
“Ok so” I say
“Ugh you’re stupid Lace just talk to him about it I’m sure he-“ before she can finish the random Guy and Kade swim over I guy introduced himself to Aria,
“Hi I’m Chase, um this is gonna sound weird but my friend told me that we are um..” Chase says
“Soulmates?” Aria interrupts
“Uh yeah how’d you know?” He asks
“Oh I have a magical best friend too” she points to me.
“Aria.” I say elbowing her in the rib
“Ow you’re mean.” She says
“Um Lacey can I talk to you?” Kade asks
“Uh sure” I say
“And here we witness two idiots” Aria says to Chase they laugh. We both glare at them. Me and Kade both get out of the pool and go over to a corner.
“Soo um” Kade stammers
“Yeah.” I say
He points and my mark and then at his
“Mmhm they match” I say the heat returning to my face
“So do you wanna um go out? I mean we kind of have to.” He says and I realize that his face is bright red.
“Uh sure... listen Kade I-“ just then my phone rings. I answer to here my mom yelling at me to come home
“So I have to go I’ll see you Monday.” I say
“Yeah ok we’ll see you Monday.” He says
On the ride home I think about how I imagined meeting my perfect match and how romantic it would be but in reality it was super awkward. At least for Aria it was different you could tell she was love struck
