You pull your covers away and set your phone on the Magcharger link-up on your bedside table. Your news feeds get paired to the home monitor, which starts to list them for you to choose. You ignore the headings for a moment.

"Moni, please prepare breakfast for me," you yell out as you walk to the bathroom. It's almost like talking to your mom, or your college roommate, just casually screaming out like that. The bed slides with a small whir into the slot on the wall. "What do we have in the pantry?"
"You could have some eggs and sausage, with a butter roll and a coffee. If that doesn't sound good I can make you a light omelette with fresh juice," says Moni's auto-tuned voice, almost as familiar as a childhood friend.

Even though you want to watch your weight, those sausages are too much of a temptation. Maybe something in the upswing in Moni's voice is drawing you to choose the heavy breakfast. Or maybe it's just an easier excuse to accept indulging.

"I'll have the full breakfast, Moni." A slight bell trill confirms your selection. You sit on the toilet. Something is running through your mind but it's too hazy. You stare at your toes and finish your business, listening to the music mix while you try to catch your train of thought.
