'Till Death Do Us Part
Although you told the Chief you're innocent, he doesn't believe you. He said that if you were truly innocent, you wouldn't have hid in the closet when you heard a knock at your bedroom door. You try to correct him:
"But--" you start. Suddenly, the memories come crashing over you like a wave. You remember every graphic detail: grabbing the knife you always kept hidden in the kitchen, hugging your 'beloved' husband, and then stabbing him repeatedly in the back. You don't think as you say:
"Oh, my god I did kill him!" and the Chief knows for sure this is your confession. You're immediately hanged for murder of the first degree.
