It never ends

You yell as loud as you possibly can, and while at first it seems it had no effect, you soon hear footsteps getting closer. There seems to be multiple footsteps, and their rhythm is irregular. It must be a whole group of people. You yell some more to let your rescuers know exactly where you are, until the people's footsteps stop.

Oh. Seems like it wasn't a bunch of people after all.

There's only one human face in the window, and it's not connected to a human body. It's connected to a long, knotted mass of flesh, which branches out into many tendrils that end in vaguely foot shaped stumps. The creature's uneven lumps of muscle twitch and pulse with every breath it takes. It's lidless eyes are bulging out of it's head, looking in opposite directions before they direct themselves to stare right at you.

For a moment, neither of you move. Then, with inhuman speed, the creature lashes out with a force that shatters all of the windows and crumples the door. The car rocks back and forth, but before it can come to a complete stop the creature wraps its tendrils around it and picks it up. The strength of its grip is causing the roof to crumple in on itself, and you struggle to launch yourself out the window before the car is completely crushed. You hit the pavement hard, but luckily only end up with a few scrapes and bruises.

Hey, at least you found a way to get out of the car.
