The Shadowguns hold their position waiting for LeadBeast's signal.
The Crushers re-emerge from the cagro bay. Each carry a cryo-chamber over a massive shoulder. A hovering ground sled is guided up the ramp and is escorted by two Firespitters. Their long machine guns are slung low on there tall orange and red frames.
Sensing their opertunity slipping away, LeadBeast give the order. The four wall panels are kicked out simultaneously and the squad step forward with guns blazing.
Luckie throws a AM bomb, it forms a black void that sucks up the grunts. The larger Torment have to struggle to resist the pull of the bomb's vacuum.
LeadBeast and Jonal fire shots into the turned backs of the Crushers, while Ben drives rounds repeatedly into the two Firespitters, uses his sniper-rifle.
As the last of the Crushers fall Jonal and the commander lob a pair gernades at the two remaining aliens. The explosions launch the two out of the rampway.
They laid dead on the ground.
Rushing down the ramp and outside, the squad can see that the ship and it's Torment abductor sits on a landing pad that is built on a rocky outcropping of a mountain. Suspended walkways run from the pad to other landing pads and to structures built into the face of the cliffside. The tell-tale glowing markings run the length of the walkways and up the vertical supports.
Dancing red beams appear in the dusty and smokey air. They move closer and coalesce on the squad.
Suddenly lightining rains down. The explosive rounds quick drop the team-mates, who are unable to pin-point the source.
A final round knocks LeadBeast to the ground. As his vision fates he wonders what they could have done differently.
