Dark Secrets
"Where in the world are we?" you say.
"This is an underground sanctuary for people like you and I. It's called the Refuge." Quinn replies to you. "The above world is not safe to us anymore." You are baffled by her following explanation.
"You see, St. Mark's is a cover for the largest cult following in the world. You thought you were attending mass, but truly you were being brainwashed."
"That's ridiculous!" you explode.
"Let me guess," Quinn says eyeing you. "You woke up late tonight not remembering you fell asleep. You were inside the church by yourself."
"How did you know that?" you ask.
"You were to be next. That's why I was so surprised that you were alive."
For the next hour Quinn explains to you how the cult, which she refered to as "The Brotherhood", had been brainwashing and taking people captive for hundreds of years now. People you thought you knew were only brainwashed partners of the brotherhood. They controlled everything.
There are two kinds of people here at the Refuge; those who stay inside and work as a support, and then there are field agents like myself dedicated to bringing down the brotherhood. Which would you like to be?"
