Erinyes Game

You can’t bring yourself to lift a finger towards either of them, you just can’t.

“Hestia?” Hephaestus is pointing at Aphrodite, an unsurprising move. “What’s wrong?”

Aphrodite is pointing right back at him. “Hestia, you have to vote,” she reminds you, a note of urgency in her voice.

You shake your head. “I can’t. I can’t do this.”

Hades’s voice booms form the speaker. “What’s this? Time is nearly up and we are missing a vote! Remember the consequences.”

“I-I know!” You clasp your hands in your lap. “I can’t vote for either of you. You’re both my friends, and I just can’t sacrifice either of you.”

“...very well.” Hades doesn’t sound happy.

Your metal choker explodes in a burst of fire. Through the flames, you can hear Hephaestus’s shouts, you can see Aphrodite’s crying face.

As you lose consciousness, you pray that they don’t have to go through some sort of tiebreaker, or you may have died for no reason at all.
