A shadowy figure

You turn to run. The figure starts to chase you, but the adrenaline is pumping in your veins. You get a head start, but the shadowy figure, slowly, is gaining on you. Up ahead, you see a car, waiting at a red light. It is the only thing nearby, but the inside of the car is dark, and you can't quite make out the driver. There is no motion inside the car, just a dented door missing the handle. The engine is idling, so you assume that it is ready to go.
