Erinyes Game

You point at Zeus, along with everyone except the man himself. He points at Hera.

“No, no, no…” Getting out of his chair, Zeus kneels at Hera’s feet. She just looks down at him without saying a word. “Please, Hera. I know I cheated and all, but I really didn’t want Demeter to die! I—”

Zeus’s collar lights up with sparks, almost looking like it’s malfunctioning. Golden sparks leap from the collar as electricity crackles, shocking him with more volts than a human body can take. You have to look away from the bright lights, and by the time they dim his body isn’t moving any more.

“Horrible,” says Hera, simply stepping over her ex-boyfriend’s corpse and leaving the room.

Athena looks like she can hardly find the strength to get out of her chair, and Hephaestus kindly helps her up and out of the room.

“Well, that wasn’t fun.” Artemis pointedly looks away from Zeus’s fried corpse. “Let’s just go on and try to get some sleep.”

You file out of the room after the twins with Aphrodite and Hermes in tow. Neither of them can come up with anything cheerful to say after that, so they simply wish you goodnight.

That night, you dream of being hit by lightning, yellow bolts striking you over and over. They form tattoos all over your legs, spreading up your arms and whole body, lighting up as they go, and when they finally reach your face the light is too bright to stand. Unable to take the shocks, your body implodes.
