Just an Ordinary Day in the Life of an Ordinary Girl
Did I make the wrong decision? you keep asking yourself over and over again while looking over your shoulder every ten seconds, hoping to catch a ride to Elmrow. Maybe I shouldn't have left her side... after all, I was put on this earth to protect her. Who knows what will happen to her now? A crooked, humourless grin slides over your face as a thought crosses your mind in answer of your last question. Ow yeah, as if my presence would save her! Just like it saved the others huh?!
You have been blaming yourself for every death that you couldn't prevent and the guilt seems to have no intention of leaving you. It's always there..., that little voice inside your mind, torturing you...
After a while you decide it's no use turning back though. She's probably already gone. And maybe, just maybe your decision will save her life anyway. AND the lives of every innocent person that would have to bear the curse in the future.
You still have no clue on how to deal with the problem, but you're hoping to find the solution exactly where it started: in Elmrow.
