The Book
As you walk through the doorway to leave the cafeteria, you feel as though there is an invisible barrier. Your friend doesn't feel it. You push against it, trying to go through, but it throws you back and everything goes dark as you fall.
You wake up in a dark dungeon cell and a tall, elegant woman is standing in the cell with you. She begins to explain. "The book was a test. Three people from my kingdom are being chosen to go on a quest, and we needed a human leader. That would have been you, had you passed the test. Unfortunately, you left the book, which shows that you are not adventurous. The test would have involved several other characteristics too, had you passed this part of it. However, you did not, and I must remove this from your memories. Drink this, and it will be as though this never happened."
She hands you a cup filled with a bright blue liquid, sparkling and glowing much brighter than it should've in a dark dungeon cell.
