The Book
Suddenly a voice begins to echo through the room, whispering loudly in a language you don't recognize. You look around wildly, unsure of what is happening. You can't see your dad anymore, and you think to yourself that he must have walked away. Then everything goes dark.
You wake up in a dark dungeon cell and a tall, elegant woman is standing in the cell with you. She begins to explain. "The book was a test. Three people from my kingdom are being chosen to go on a quest, and we needed a human leader. That would have been you, had you passed the test. Unfortunately, you lied, which shows that you are not honest. The test would have involved several other characteristics too, had you passed this part of it. However, you did not, and I must remove this from your memories. Drink this, and it will be as though this never happened."
She hands you a cup filled with a bright blue liquid, sparkling and glowing much brighter than it should've in a dark dungeon cell.
