D&D Foraging Skill Challenge - Chult Coast
As the wind brushes through the canopy, a dim glow of light catches your eye. It appeared to come from a fist sized brown bulb hanging from a branch. It looks both edible and mysterious.
~Instructions~
Anyone wishing to climb the tree and grab a Glowing Nut may make one attempt with an Athletics or Acrobatics roll:
- On a roll of 13 or higher, you successfully grab 1 Glowing Nut and clamber down without trouble.
- On a roll of 5 to 12, you successfully knock 1 Glowing Nut to the ground but lose your grip and take a nasty spill. Take 1d4 HP damage.
- On a roll of 4 or less, you slip and fall out of the tree and take 1d4 HP damage and fail to grab a Glowing Nut.
The Glowing Nut rattles when shaken, causing its shell to shed bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet. This magical light fades after 1 minute, but shaking the nut again causes the light to reappear. If the shell of the Nut is cracked open, it loses its magic.
Once everyone has had a chance to climb for a Glowing Nut, click "Back to the search" to resume on another path.
