Keep your eye on it!

You go to the door to check who it is. You think that it may be your dad. After all, he probably was coming home now that the saw that mom was dead. If it was anyone else, you would run to your room and hide. There was no harm in making sure that it wasn’t your dad. You went to the door and what you see makes you wish you hadn’t checked. You saw those yellow demon eyes. Now that they were closer and bathed in the soft white light glowing on your porch, you could see that they belonged to a man wearing a full black outfit; A shirt, pants, socks, shoes, and a hat, and even gloves. You freeze out of fear. In that moment of hesitation, you realize two things. Your front door is made of glass, so now the figure knows that you are in your house. And you see that the front door is open. You realize that if you don’t lock the door the figure may come inside, so you run to try and lock it. Had you not frozen, you might have gotten there in time. But you don’t make it, and the figure opens the door enough to stop you from locking it. The figure shoves the door open, and since you are holding onto it trying to lock it, the force of the shove makes you stumble backwards. He comes inside and shoves you to the ground. You feel yourself crash into the hard, white tiles below you. In this moment, you are sure that the figure is the one that killed your mom. But then, suddenly, you see the figure starting to take off his hat. Once he does, you see that the yellow eyes are part of a mask that the figure was wearing. The figure pulls off the tight, perfectly fitting mask, and before he is done peeling it off you recognize the man. It is your dad. This all happens moments before he pulls a gun out and shoots you in your own home.
