Hello, m'lady! Yikes, that was pure cringe...
You walk alongside your best friend, Sierra, in the mall while she explains that anyone who skips Prom is basically committing social suicide. She isn't wrong, though. The once popular cheerleader Brittney Allison skipped Prom last year and the whole cheerleading team cut her off. And why did she skip Prom? Her brother was diagnosed with Leukemia and she had to fly to Florida to make sure he was okay. She came back and none of her friends would talk to her because (and I quote from Tiffany Bryers, a girl who used to be her closest friend):
"Oh muh gawd, Brittnay... Yew would dare have the audacity to skip thuh biggest night of our lives for your bROTHAR?! He isn't even DEAD yet, gawd Brittnay."
Yeah, they act like skipping Prom is the equivalent of skipping your own mothers funeral. Poor, Brittney Allison.
