A Good Cause
As you walk in you realize how huge the mansion is. The butler comes over and takes your coat. When he does, you ask him who lives in this house.
"Hey, who lives in this house?" you ask.
"Nobody lives here at the moment. Mr. Harley uses this house for events and parties, such as this one" the butler responds.
He leads you to the living room and there are four other people there. You walk over to the window to look out but it is just a brick wall. Two other men walk up to you and introduce themselves.
"Hi, my name is Ethan and this is my friend Josh. I'm guessing you are here for the same reason as us?"
You were about to respond when the butler came in and led everyone to the dining room.You all sit down in the dining room and there is Mr. Harley. The waiters bring around food and it is jamon. You remember that you haven't eaten meat for eleven years now. You are Vegetarian. You ask if there is anything else but the waiters shake their head.
Mr. Harley asks "Is there anything wrong?"
You reply "I'm a vegetarian and you are serving meat."
"I bet you 500 dollars you can eat a slice of that meat!" Mr. Harley exclaimed.
"But I haven't eaten meat in eleven ye-"
"I will give you 2,000 dollars to eat the whole thing,”interrupts Mr. Harley.
Do you take the risk of eating the meat even knowing that you have not had meat in eleven years?
