Outlander

"I agree with Merida," You say. "We should march to the shores with everything we have. Meet them head on."
And so it was. Under the Horsemaster's leadership, the clans gathered their respective armies and thousands of horses, soldiers, catapults and blades marched towards Hoofdown's eastern shore.
When you all arrive, the goblin longboats can already be seen. Your jaw gapes at the sheer number. They must have been breeding and planning for hundreds of years for this attack. Gods, where have they been all this time? As soon as they are in range, you order your soldiers to fire the catapults. Cheers ring out as several ships sink, but the cheers do not last long. Like rainfall, a shower of flaming arrows erupts from the front line of ships. The Horsemaster tries to order a retreat, but it is too late and hundreds of soldiers fall as the dry fields erupt into a wildfire.
The horses are still in chaos as the goblins hit the shore. They jump through the flames like demons leaping from the pits of Hell, and they fall on your soldiers, slaughtering them.
You race into a retreat with Merida and her father, but the endurance of the goblins is too great. They overcome all of you within minutes.
The last thing you see is the hordes of goblins racing past your mangled body towards the castles of Hoofdown where Lucia awaits...
