Twins, Travis and Charlene grew up along the beaches of southern California. Travis, Honor roll student, Popular in school, and excelled in sports. He was the all american kid that every parent wanted their kid to be like. At 6'1' 175lbs of pure muscle, Travis took very good care of himself physically. As Quarterback of his HS football team, Travis could often be found in the HS weight room, out running on the track, or throwing 75yard hailmarys down the football field, just for practice. He worked hard, he played harder, He was a coaches dream. Socially, Travis was a social butterfly. Smart, Handsome, well mannered, and always the life of party.
Travis and Charlene were not close. They didnt really hate each other, they just were not as close as you think twins would be.
Although she was just as smart and intelligent as Travis, Charlene was an outcast in HS. She had no friends. She was the one everyone picked on. Made fun of. Name called. Bullied. She was the schools fat kid. Fat Big Bird was their favorite nickname to call her after the day she wore here favorite yellow jumpsuit to school. Everyone laughed. Even the person who bought it for her for Christmas that year, Travis. Charlene was 5'8" 269lbs and she hated that her body never developed in the way Travis's did for him. Fat, ugly and dumpy was the only thing she could see when looking in the mirror. By the end of senior year Charlene was completely depressed and out of options, her last ditch effort was a phone call to the family counselor. And that changed her life forever.
The sessions with the counselor continued after graduation and it didnt take long for Charlene to figure out what she had to do. Charlene sat at the table when Travis walks in and takes a seat.
Charlene: "I am not going to college this fall."
Travis: "What do you mean youre not going to college this fall? We've always gone to school together."
Charlene: "What do you need me there for? You barely talked to me in HS. In fact the only time you did talk to me was to make fun of me. Im not going through that again with you. Ever! Your days of making fun of me are over. I am done being bullied and made fun of."
Travis: "Awe come on Charlene, every one was doing it. We were just joking around."
Charlene: "Youre right, everyone was doing it. And in the times that I needed somebody, In the times I needed for just some one to stick up for me, YOU. WERNT. THERE."
Travis: "Im sorry, Charlene. Please come to college. What about Mom and Dad, What do they have to say about this?"
Charlene paused a minute.
Charlene: "You know Travis, youre right, I believe you are, sorry.... YOURE A SORRY FUCKIN' EXCUSE FOR A SIBLING!! And about Mom and Dad, they were always your favorite so, fuckem'."
Travis got up from his chair and walked over to Charlene.
Travis: "Dont you ever talk about Mom and Dad Like that!!"
He swung his hand smacking Charlene right across face.
Charlene: "Ha Ha Ha! You hit like a bitch."
Charlene with every bit of anger she had in her, balled up her fist, swung at his face knocking him out cold.
She left him there on the floor while she packed her belongings and headed out the door.
Charlene left it to chance telling the ticket agent to get her on the next flight out. She was going to start a new life, in a new place,
Ticket Agent: "Our next flight out is Milwauke Wisconsin. We have one seat left."
Charlene: "Beer and Cheese. Perfect. I'll take it. Home sweet home."
Charlene took a job at one of the local car dealerships and seemed to be a natual at selling cars. Every month selling a few cars more than the previous month before. She only planned on working there for the summer but she found herself moving up through the ranks of the company so fast that before she knew it, she was the head person in the sales department. When she wasnt selling cars, Charlene was at the gym. Once she started seeing the results of her weight loss she pushed herself even harder and the gym became her home away from home.
By the end of the next summer, Charlene was down to 120lbs and could finally look at herself and smile. She loves her long brown hair and her eye color that matched. Her big bright smile and ultra white teeth. And her flat stomach which was home to her six pack abs. This is who she now was. She felt her herself. Strong, lean, toned and skinny. Gone is the fat and ugly girl that used to be staring back at her in the mirror.

After long hard day at Dewy, Cheatum & Howe, Charlene, quietly sits in her car in her drive way just staring at her house. She closes her eyes remembering it was the first thing she bought when she got partner at the law firm 10 years ago. A two story, three bedroom, two and a half bath, castle. Well....... she considered it a castle. Powder blue siding, tall white columns on the edge of the porch on the sides of the front door and the 7 foot tall bushes that went around the perimeter of the front yard so no body could see in. Soft green grass, rose bushes that hugged the corners of the house and the 3 car garage where she dreamed her favorite exotic cars, like the ones she used to sell, would be parked some day.
Charlene takes a few deep breaths to calm herself down because she knows that when she opens her eyes, reality is going to smack her in the face. Her majestic castle has been run down by the King and the step peasants that live inside. The rose bushes no longer blume, the hedges have not been trimed in years, even the white fake window shutters are falling off or have gone missing. And her exotic garage... Well..... Her stepson has seemed to have taken that over. Bike parts, car parts, truck parts. Welcome to Charlenes fuckin junkyard, she always said to her self when ever she pulled into the driveway.
Charlene grabs her purse and the files for the new case she'll be working on, and gets out of her car. She closes the car door, and just like clockwork, her neighbor Stanley is walking passed her driveway.
Stanley and Millie were a retired elderly couple who lived nextdoor and were the first ones to welcome her to the neighborhood when she moved in. They would always checkup on her. Stanley used to help her with her yard work. And when things would break around the house, he would show her how to fix it. Millie would bake her self proclaimed world famous apple creme pie for her on Sundays. Stanley and Millie didnt have any children so when Charlene moved in, They basicly adopted her as their first grandchild.
But Stanley had a little crush on Charlene and Charlene knew it. She could tell by just the way he would smile at her when ever she was around. He would call her sweetie and honey and darlin'. and even playfully flirt with her on occaision. Charlene didnt mind it, she loved the attention, and sometimes she would flirt with him right back. But a couple of years ago, after Millie died, he has become a down right pervert.
Stanley: "Hey Sweetie, I got some steaks on the fire and the beer is cold."
Charlene: "Not tonight Stanley."
Stanley grabs the front of his shorts and smiles
Stanley: "Then how about a sausage with some warm cream sauce."
Charlene rolling her eyes and sighs. She turns toward the front of her house.
Charlene: "Im not in the mood for it today Stan"
Stanley: "What?!" "Cant a guy ask a cute girl to come over for some dinner and drinks?"
Charlene closes her eyes, points her face to the sky and takes a deep breath.
