Out of Time

You stand there, panicked. You know what you should do. You have to do it or you'll regret it. Maybe you can make it across in time that nobody ends up hurt. You take a breath as your stomach turns to jello. Before you know it, the adrenaline kicks in and you're off.

You barely register with what happens next. It's instantaneous. You feel your arms push Natalie but before you can come to terms with that, Dean's truck t-bones you and throws you with so much force towards the side of the road.
